Huay Kaew Mukata: Epic Thai Feast
Imagine an open-air structure with 500 people, an all-you-can-eat buffet of Thai food both uncooked and prepared, a hot-pot over flaming coals at your table, live comedy and music, and servers in very short beer-branded dresses refilling your glass with ice and beer, over many hours. This is mukata.
There are several large mukata places in Chiang Mai. The biggest is behind the Hillside Plaza on Huay Kaew. The entrance is the just to the right of the Hillside Plaza, down a long driveway. Any tuk-tuk driver will be able to take you there as well.
