Diavola Ristorante, Sonoma meets Italy
In the one-stop-sign town of Geyserville, simple, original, and harmonious describes the Italian cuisine Dino Bugica crafts every day at Diavola. As you enter the rustic wood-framed and brick-walled restaurant, you are immediately greeted by a small, refrigerated showcase of Italian staples; house-cured olives, cheeses, chiles, sausages, and salumi; all ready for take-away. After marveling at the salumi case, your gaze is drawn to the wood fired pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. Perusing the menu looking for that special pizza, you’re reminded of your first trip to Tuscany and notice trippa alla Fiorentina. Then your eye catches oxtail mezzaluna, then spaghettini in pork cheek sugo, and Genovese frutti di mare. If you were looking for Italy in Sonoma County, you just found it.
